Are you ready to pop the question but looking for something a bit more special than a restaurant dinner? Why not set sail on a romantic adventure with GoBoat London? We've hosted numerous magical moments on our boats, and we're here to tell you why a GoBoat trip might just be the perfect backdrop for your proposal.
A Unique and Intimate Experience
Imagine this: just you and your loved one, gently cruising along London's picturesque waterways, surrounded by nature and iconic landmarks. With GoBoat, you're the captain of your own journey - literally! There's no tour guide or skipper to cramp your style, making it the ideal intimate setting for that special moment.
Our top cruising speed of 3.5 knots (4mph) ensures a relaxed vibe, perfect for soaking in the scenery and building up to that all-important question. Whether you choose the charming Regent's Canal, the historic Thames, or the impressive views of Canary Wharf, you're guaranteed a memorable backdrop for your proposal.
Tailored to You
Every love story is unique, and your proposal should be too. That's why we're here to help make your vision a reality. Want to surprise your partner with a hidden bottle of bubbly and champagne flutes? We can arrange that. Looking for a professional photographer to capture the moment without spoiling the surprise? We've got you covered.
For those looking to involve friends and family, we can accommodate up to 8 people per boat. We've even had couples bring their furry friends along for the ride!
A Story to Inspire You
Let us tell you about Annabel and James. Working with award-winning proposal planners, The One Romance, Annabel orchestrated a surprise proposal for James during what he thought was just a casual GoBoat trip with friends. As they passed under a bridge, 15 umbrellas suddenly popped open, spelling out "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" Annabel stood up, made a heartfelt speech, and proposed. James said yes, and they celebrated with champagne and loved ones at a nearby restaurant, The Waterway. It was a truly unforgettable moment on the water!
Choose Your Perfect Spot
We offer four stunning locations, each with its own unique charm:
- Paddington: Cruise the Regent's Canal to Camden Lock, passing Little Venice and London Zoo.
- Canary Wharf: Sail around London Docklands, taking in the impressive architecture of the financial district.
- Kingston upon Thames: Glide past Raven's Ait island and Hampton Court Palace on the majestic River Thames.
- Thames Ditton: Another Thames route, passing Ye Olde Swan pub and Hampton Court Palace.
For the most romantic atmosphere, consider booking during the 'golden hour' - that magical time just before sunset when the light is soft and golden. Our location manager can work with you to plan the perfect spot for your proposal.
